This space arises from the personal and professional need to create safe spaces, based on psychological well-being addressed through a gender perspective. What does this mean? It means that this is an aware space, looking at what is our departing point and to the context in which we are immersed. It aims also to recognize and validate us, and so the violence(s) we suffer daily with our privileges and oppressions: because of our identities and our diversities.
Furthermore, it aims to return psychology to the sphere of the collective, of the common. Its core is inhabited by the networks of care, mutual support, coalition and affinity that keep us alive. This space is meant to be a place where people can BE in its broadest sense. Where we can work together, accompany each other, and be more free in relation to our values. That is the reason why I decided to work not only individually in my sessions, but also with my foundation Hedgehog and organizing diverse activities with my colleague Anestia.
My dearest Nina Simone said it already: Freedom is not fear. We want to create spaces where we can (re)gain the power of embracing our vulnerabilities and be ourselves. To continue and live in our own way, whatever it might be: not despite ourselves, but exactly because we are unapologetically ourselves.
